Zondervan NIV Lectio Bible

Rediscover a contemplative method of reading Scripture with the NIV Lectio Bible's seamless, minimalistic design. The Lectio Bible is a companion to the Scripture Practice from John Mark Comer and Practicing the Way, a nonprofit that creates resources to help churches apprentice in the Way of Jesus. Developed to combat our culture of distraction and hurry and invite you into the spiritual practice of scripture reading, this elegant, single-column Bible fosters a slower, more immersive reading experience. With chapters, verses, and subheadings removed--and footnotes shifted to the end of each book--you'll develop a habit of unhurried, open, and reflective Scripture reading. "To sit at Jesus' feet today is to immerse our mind and imagination in the writings of Scripture... This is the posture of an apprentice of Jesus. And yet this is not how many of us approach the library of ancient scrolls we call the Bible. As apprentices of Jesus, our goal in the practice of reading Scripture...is to read it in such a way that we are formed into people who are like Jesus through spending time in his presence and peace. This is how Scripture was designed to be read." -- John Mark Comer Features: Full text of the accurate, readable, and clear New International Version (NIV). Single-column layout with chapter and verse numbers removed to allow for seamless, distraction-free reading. Introduction by John Mark Comer, founder of Practicing the Way.
